Remember these dainty little earrings from a while back?
They're finally up over at Etsy--and I think I have some buyers, so hopefully, they won't be available by the time you click through this link.

This piece was commissioned by a friend who has a baby girl and is now expecting a baby boy, hence the pink and blue Swarovski crystals flanking the 10mm white Swarovski pearls.
I used a large heart-shaped clasp. I think little touches really make a piece like this more special.

Hand lampworked multi-colored 'sputnik' bumpy glass beads and sterling silver.
These photos are a bit grainy...I think I needed to charge my battery.
I can't lie--I think these beads are great. And while they're not marketed as Sputnik beads, I think they should be.
I have been wanting to use coin pearls in one of my pieces for some time, now.
Here, I've paired creamy ivory coin pearls (10mm in diameter) with slightly larger gemstone coins (12mm).
The gemstone beads range in color from white to pastel yellow, blue and green.
Any idea which gemstone I'm talking about?
Aquamarine! Yup, that's right. The same blue/green faceted gemstone that you've seen in, say, rings, can also look like this.
I think this necklace is beautiful--elegant and simple. It's short, around 16-17 inches, and I've added small sterling silver beads to separate the pearls and stones, almost like the silk knots that keep each pearl from being damaged in a traditional strand of pearls. The lobsterclaw clasp is also sterling silver.

Because the coating is matte, and not shiny, the effects are subtle though still noticeable. These beads seem to glow from within, and my camera really couldn't capture that effect.

The beautiful heart clasp is one of my favorite things about my Mother's Bracelets. It's a sweet little touch.
The mother's birthday is in September, so I used 2 sizes of sapphire (the birthstone for September) Swarovski crystals to signify that.
At the clasp, I put a sterling silver baby cup charm.

This is the same bracelet that I submitted to the jewelry design magazine in the Spring. Unfortunately, it was not chosen as part of an upcoming issue, but it was still worth trying, right?
I think you can see my camera in the luster of every single one of these Swarovski pearls!

I'll have to check back through old entries and see, but 'til I do, let's all look at these photos sent by a woman who bought it, and another necklace, a few weeks ago:
